For more than three decades, we have successfully represented businesses and individuals (including personal injury matters), before courts of the Commonwealth, arbitration hearing boards and in mediation and settlement conferences. In the process, we have helped establish new law.
Robert Kraus, Esq., has been practicing law since 1983, after graduating from Bates College (1979, Magna Cum Laude, High Honors, ranked 6th in graduating class standing) and Boston College Law School (1983). Attorney Kraus spent his junior year in college studying at Manchester College, Oxford, Oxford, England. After graduating from Boston College Law School, Attorney Kraus was awarded a Rotary Foundation Scholarship to study at the University of Auckland, New Zealand for a year.
Attorney Kraus has argued, and tried jury and non-jury cases in the United States District Court, Superior Court, Land Court, District Court, Housing Court and the Probate and Family Court from beginning to end and has taken over cases in discovery and prosecuted them to an end. He has argued successfully appellate cases before the Supreme Judicial Court and Appeals Court of Massachusetts. He is licensed to practice before all such courts.
Attorney Kraus practiced law in Boston for several years before being elected State Representative to the Great and General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Massachusetts Legislature) for the 12th Plymouth District in 1989 serving communities in Southeastern Massachusetts. He served for eight years, and since his departure from the Legislature, in addition to his legal practice, has become a legislative agent serving his clients’ interests before the Legislature and State Agencies.
Attorney Kraus has represented a variety of clients and entities across a broad spectrum of interests, including the Archdiocese of Boston, gaming interests, automotive dealerships, financial institutions, nationally recognized landlords and development entities, and businesses and individuals with complex litigation and business matters. Attorney Kraus has been active in several charitable and educational institutions and belongs to several social organizations. Attorney Kraus’ practice and areas of focus are civil litigation, land use, and corporate (general business and landlord/tenant). He has also appeared before various administrative and adjudicatory municipal boards throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and conducts lobbying on behalf of clients before state and local agencies and departments. Attorney Kraus also maintains an active practice for foreign clients doing business in the United States, including immigration consultations.

Attorney Kelleher has over twenty (20) years of experience litigating matters throughout the courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Attorney Kelleher has tried cases in the United States District Court, Superior Court, Land Court, District Court, Housing Court and the Probate and Family Court. He has authored and argued several matters before the Massachusetts Appeals Court. He has a license to practice before all state and federal courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He is currently working with Attorneys Representing Children (ARC Program) in Bristol and Plymouth Counties. He is currently a member of the Plymouth County District Bar Association.
Attorney Kelleher’s practice and areas of focus are civil litigation, land use, and corporate (general business and landlord/tenant). He has also appeared before various administrative and adjudicatory municipal boards throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
He has served on the Marshfield Zoning Board from 2002 to 2004. He served on the Marshfield Zoning Board of Appeals since 2004 and has been the Chairman since 2014.
Anne A. Hummel, Esq., has been practicing law since 1981, after graduating from The Taft School in Watertown, Connecticut, Mt. Holyoke College (1978), and Suffolk University Law School (1981). Attorney Hummel received a Master’s Degree in Taxation from Boston University in 1986.
Attorney Hummel practiced law on Cape Cod for several years before beginning working for Tedeschi Realty as Associate General Counsel; in 1992, she was appointed by Governor William F. Weld as Assistant Secretary of the Executive Office of Consumer Affairs; in 1994, she moved to the Massachusetts Port Authority, where she served in both legal and administrative positions. In 1997, she became partners with Attorney Robert Kraus in the firm of Kraus & Hummel LLP. As of now, Attorney Hummel is inactive, but can be contacted for consultations
Stephanie has been a legal assistant for over twenty years. Stephanie performs administrative and clerical duties associated with the efficient operation of the firm. In addition to her administrative duties, Stephanie assists the attorneys with civil litigation, domestic and probate matters, manufactured housing matters, corporate matters, real estate matters, and personal injury matters as well as a variety of other services that are provided to clients of the firm.
